Whether you’re looking for a romantic spot for date night or an authentic meal with a view, you’ll be spoilt for choice when choosing where to dine in the Gold Coast! Keep reading for my top seven restaurant recommendations, in no particular order.
1. Imperial Hotel, Main Beach

Formally known as the Versace, Imperial Hotel maintains a sophisticated décor for its guests and diners to enjoy, where you’ll feel like you’re truly in a palace. Their signature restaurant, Il Baracco, offers a dining experience you’ll never forget. A gentle piano playing in the background while you enjoy your meal makes it one of the best restaurants for date night or a romantic night out. To eat? I recommend their flavoursome Pumpkin Risotto.
2. Mamasan, Broadbeach

Mamasan perfects the combination of traditional and modern South East Asian cuisine seamlessly, offering authentic and zesty flavours. With a menu designed to share it’s easy to try a bit of everything, so I recommend starting with their Corn and Zucchini Fritters and Kimchi Fried Rice, before trying one of their delicious Bao Buns (Soft Shell Crab is a great choice).
3. Nahm Talay Thai, Surfers Paradise

Perched upstairs in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Nahm Talay is known for its authentic Thai cuisine as well as their theatrical dishes and cocktails. Enjoy traditional Thai with a twist overlooking stunning views of the beach below. I recommend their Pad Thai for mains, and an Espresso Martini for dessert – you won’t have seen one like this before!
4. Isla Cantina, Isle of Capri

Located in the picturesque Isle of Capri, Isla Catina is a delicious restaurant with views overlooking the river and Surfers Paradise. For starters, I recommend their yummy Corn and Cheese Croquettes and Kingfish Ceviche, followed by a variety of their fresh Tacos for mains (you can’t go past the Market Fish).
5. Omeros Bros, Main Beach

If you’re after a sophisticated dining experience with some of the best seafood you’ve ever tried, look no further than Omeros Bros. At this multi-award winning restaurant you can sit out on the wharf by the water, allowing you to enjoy stunning views of the Broadwaters while you eat. For mains, I recommend the delicious Snapper En Papillote or the fresh Atlantic Salmon.
6. Edgewater Dining and Lounge, Isle of Capri

Right next door to Isla Cantina you’ll find Edgewater, a restaurant that celebrates modern Australian cuisine while offering spectacular waterfront views. With service that’s second to none and an extensive menu to choose from, it’s easy to see why Edgewater remains to be so popular with the locals, especially on the weekends. I recommend their Butternut Pumpkin Risotto, and one of their decadent Espresso Martinis for dessert.
7. Seascape, Surfers Paradise

Perched above the iconic Soul Boardwalk in Surfers Paradise, Seascape is stunning seafood restaurant offering gorgeous ocean views. On level one you’ll find a chic bar and bistro, and on level two a fine-dining restaurant worth splashing out on. To start with, I recommend their selection of Australian Raw and Cured Fish, followed by their decadent Lobster and Crab Lasagne in a delicious Lobster Bisque.
