7 Delicious Places for Brunch on the Gold Coast

Bumble Cafe brunch

From cheap and cheerful to bright and beachy, it’s safe to say there’s tonnes of great brunch spots to discover on the GC! Add a cheeky splash of booze if you’re ready for the weekend, or simply enjoy the stunning views and delicious food. Keep reading for my tried and tested favourite places to brunch, in no particular order.

1. Hot Shott, Main Beach

Located in the quaint streets of Main Beach, Hot Shott is a weekend favourite that never disappoints. With an impressive all-day breakfast and lunch menu, there’s something for everyone here at any time of the day! A favourite I can always recommend is the Smoking Avo – delicious and served with a surprise (although all the food here is amazing, let’s be real). If you’re heading here on the weekend you’re better going as early as possible, as it’s a very popular spot with the locals.

2. Love Italy, Surfers Paradise

It can be a struggle to find a cheap and cheerful Italian where you get plenty for your money, and is delish! Love Italy is in the heart of Surfers and provides huge portion sizes for a great price! With an extensive list of pasta and pizza, it’ll be difficult to choose just one yummy meal here! As far as delicious pastas go, I can recommend the Trottole Giardini and Trottole Pollo e Funghi.

3. Edgewater Dining and Lounge, Isle of Capri

Is there anything better than brunch with a view? Edgewater Dining and Lounge is a beautiful, tranquil spot on the Isle of Capri. The extensive deck overlooking the river makes you feel like you’re right on the water, complete with service that is second to none. Can’t make it for brunch? It’s also perfect for a romantic dinner, complete with decorative fairy lights and a stunning view overlooking the night lights.

4. Cafe Catalina, Southport

Cafe Catalina is a gorgeous brunch spot right on the water, overlooking Seaworld and the Versace hotel, to name a few. On a hot and sunny day, make use of the large deck to the side which is fully sheltered and still provides a stunning view! A go-to for breakfast here is the Pea and Ricotta Fritters or the Smashed Avo.

5. Burleigh Pavilion, Burleigh Heads

Nestled in the heart of Burleigh with a relaxed vibe, Burleigh Pavilion is a go-to for many on the Gold Coast. Nothing beats a brunch with the spectacular skyline of Surfers Paradise in the distance, and surfers on the beach below. Looking for lunch recommendations with a cheeky drink? You can’t go past the Falafel Salad and a pretty Ooh La La cocktail!

6. Palm Beach Surf Club, Palm Beach

If you’re further down the coast you won’t want to miss checking out the Palm Beach Surf Club for brunch! With a relaxed and beachy vibe, it’s the perfect place to unwind over the weekend. Did I mention it’s right on the beach and has a few different outdoor areas to enjoy? For brunch, I recommend the Pumpkin Creme Risotto or the Seared Atlantic Salmon.

7. Fishbowl, Surfers Paradise

After a cheap and cheerful brunch that’s healthy and delicious? Look no further than Fishbowl, a small salad bar tucked away near Cavill Ave in Surfers Paradise. Here you can get huge portions of healthy and tasty salads for a reasonable price. I recommend The O.G Salmon salad with avocado, or the Coconut Chicken salad.
