A bit about me:

In late 2023 I made the decision to move from my hometown of Auckland, New Zealand to the Gold Coast, Queensland. This was my first time living in both a different city and country, so to say the last couple of years have been a change has been a big understatement. Now I live and work in Brisbane, and it feels refreshing to be in a city that’s economically thriving, full of opportunities and places to explore.

My understanding of myself and the world around me is in a constant state of flux, and I wanted to capture this exciting chapter in my life by documenting it. Lucy Rebecca x combines my passion for travel and creative writing with eight years working professionally in Content Creation and Management. By sharing this with the world, I hope to inspire and help others – whether it’s to recommend the best restaurants to eat at or to share advice on moving countries, based on my own experience.

Aside from travel blogging, expressing the more vulnerable side of myself through creative writing and poetry gives me a deep sense of fulfilment and is where I feel most connected to my inner self. Introspection is the greatest way we can listen to ourselves and learn from our experiences – the good, the bad and the ugly. I embrace this by writing and sharing my thoughts with transparency, in hopes of breaking down the stigma surrounding showing vulnerability and opening up to others, especially in an online setting.
