Wispy strands of silky cloud
Slip through the sky, tightly bound
Candyfloss flakes merge into one
Piercing orange, lit by the sun
Colourful tendrils, they intertwine
Creating a long, luminous vine
Scattered in sheets across the sky
Here they rest, watchful as they lie
Soon the moon will take its place
Giving the world a different face
Here for a while, but not to stay;
Only before the sun wants to play
