Keep reading for my top seven spots, in no particular order!

1. Steampunk, Surfers Paradise

For a more laidback vibe, look no further than Steampunk. It’s prime location in the heart of Surfers Paradise makes it an easy place to visit on a Friday or Saturday night, complete with live bands and a dancefloor. Shoot a game of Pool while listening to weekend tunes or enjoy a drink on the deck outside – perfect on a summer’s evening!

2. Burleigh Pavilion, Burleigh Heads

With resident DJ’s playing from Wednesday to Sunday every week, Burleigh Pavilion is the best place for vibey tunes guaranteed to get you fizzed up for the weekend. Enjoy an endless summer of music, cocktails and beautiful beachfront views at The Pav!

3. The Island, Surfers Paradise

The Island is the largest rooftop bar in the Gold Coast and your one-stop shop for music, cocktails and city views. With resident DJ’s playing every Friday to Sunday, The Island is a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon or a fun Friday night!

4. The Lawn, Broadbeach

Enjoy live music every Friday to Sunday in the gorgeous greenery at The Lawn, located just outside of Garden Kitchen & Bar in Broadbeach. Check out their line-up ahead of time with their live entertainment schedule, and don’t forget The Star’s other bars like Atrium, Cherry and Kiyomi. They’re all conveniently located within The Star and each have their own line-up of free acts to catch over the weekend!

5. The Avenue, Surfers Paradise

The Avenue is perfect if you’re looking for a variety of musical talent to listen to, thanks to their live vocalists that rotate each weekend. Whether you’re warming up for the weekend on a Friday afternoon or enjoying a quiet drink on a Sunday, there’s always something to see at The Avenue! Did I mention it even doubles as a nightclub on the weekend with both their resident and featured DJ’s playing?

6. Miami Marketta, Miami

Combining delicious street food with live music (both free and ticketed events), Miami Marketta is the place to be on Wednesday through to Saturday nights! Check out their free live music line-up schedule to make sure you don’t miss any of your favourite acts, and you’ll be spoilt for choice with food from Japan, Italy, Thailand and everything in between!

7. Beergarden, Surfers Paradise

With live bands performing from Thursday to Sunday each week, Beergarden is a great spot to catch some live music in a relaxed and casual setting. Overlooking the iconic Cavill Ave, Beergarden has a large indoor and outdoor seating area complete with table games like Jenga for you to enjoy. Plus if you’re a sports or UFC fan, make sure you catch the latest game or fight here too!
