Frost

Photography of white petaled flower plant

It’s ten past twelve and I’m thinking of you

Temptation is strong; it’s hard to subdue

You’re poisonous, you’re intoxicating

Years went by, yet I was still waiting

It was cold outside, and so was I

Bitter in the absence of goodbye

Subsequently my heart turned to ice

Unable to thaw, once, twice, thrice

Now I know that loving you was wrong

It wasn’t meant to be, but it was strong

I couldn’t see you were tearing me apart

I couldn’t see you were breaking my heart
